[Quistis had disappeared for a couple days after she was returned and got some rest, on a request from Squall; she's been back in the village for just under a week for real, but remaining fairly quiet. Reading a lot. Now she's sitting at the table she uses for a desk, tapping the journal slowly with the blunt end of her pen for awhile before she finally starts to write.]

[A note added after a few of the comments, mostly from Nina.] I didn't realize things were so unbalanced in the school. If you need any help there, I'd be glad to assist, especially with the lower classes.

Due to certain circumstances, I'm going to need to move. I'll no longer be found at Community Building 4, room 22.

[She's not asking for space to live since there's empty apartments, but she probably won't turn down an offer if anyone cares to make one.]

[She's heading out the door of her apartment as she finishes off this conversation with Sigmund. As she walks, she's dictating a note into the journals.]

If anyone needs to keep themselves busy or simply wants to help, I'll be needing a couple of volunteers to pack and organize supplies from the infirmary and the general store. Come find me if you wish to at either building.

[By the time anyone gets there, she's found a clipboard and some paper and is making notes. Any type of smallish bag she can find that closes relatively securely has been cleared off the shelves into a pile, and she's making notes as she scans the rest of the items. The periodic explosions from next door aren't the most reassuring thing I can think of, but I suspect I'm getting used to them. They barely make me jump now.

I'm wondering if anyone in this town has any skill in working with paper - I'm interested in seeing if I can get a Triple Triad deck made. It's a popular strategic card game in my world, and with very little to do besides read and train, it would help with the boredom.

Before next week is over, I think I'll seek out the spirit of healing magic at least and try to learn from them. With no way to replenish stocks of spells, I don't want to be caught flat-footed in an emergency. If anyone wants to come with me, I'd enjoy the company.

At the moment, though, I've been lax with my physical training. If anyone would like to spar or just to talk, I'll be at the barracks for the next couple of hours, practicing.

[Quistis is already at the barracks, and she sets the journal aside, still open, then clips her hair back out of her face and begins to stretch to warm up her muscles.]

[Quistis wakes slowly, curled up with her knees almost to her chin, as if to conserve body heat. She looks surprisingly peaceful - at least until she opens her eyes, only to see branches and leaves above her and feel a breeze she certainly shouldn't if she was indoors.]

What...?

[She sits up, pushing loose hair out of her face, reaching blindly for a clip or tie before realizing one isn't there and retracting that hand. She doesn't notice the book nearby.]
